2020, October - Lednice-Valtice Music Festival 2020

For the third time it has become a tradition, and a rather fine tradition, that in the autumn members of the ČLS get together to visit the Lednice-Valtice Music Festival – an unique cultural event that draws on the Liechtenstein heritage in Moravia. On Saturday, October 3, members of the ČLS participated in the grand opening of the festival. The concert was opened with the Janoska Ensemble, whose captivating performance was appreciated by the audience with a long standing ovation. The second concert which members of ČLS visited, the Ostrava Klezmer Band, took place in local synagogue on Sunday, 4 October 2020. Love, family, eternal wandering and searching for one’s own fate – themes explored by the emotional lyrics of Jewish songs that resounded in Břeclav.
